Course participants included 6 wine enthusiasts, 2 George staff members and the owner of the Thresher Wine Shop, St Ives, Cambridgeshire. Those attending the course enjoyed a convivial light lunch, accompanied by a glass of Champagne provided by Wine Trainers Ltd. This was served in the delightful Open Up wine flute, as sold by House of Straus. A video recording was made, using extracts of the course and interviews with participants, and will be available for viewing shortly.

The next Foundation Certificate is on Saturday, 4th April, cost is £99 inclusive of Tuition, Wines, Food Samples, Course Materials and Exam (no VAT) and bookings are already coming in. For all bookings received by Monday 16th March, we will give away a top quality waiter's friend corkscrew worth over £7. Bookings will be taken upto Wednesday 26th March, and after this date will incur a late booking surcharge.

Our first Intermediate Certificate will be over 5 Saturdays, again at the George, Buckden, and costs £299 (no VAT). Dates are April 18th & 25th; May 2nd, 16th & 23rd.
